About The OlyOpp Alliance
The OlyOpp Alliance is a diverse coalition of organizations, businesses, citizens’ groups, and individuals working together to stop the construction of the OlyWest hog processing facility at its current location inside Winnipeg’s city limits. Members of the OlyOpp Alliance oppose the OlyWest project for various reasons, and the views of one member of the Alliance are not necessarily the views of other members.
Our Mission Statement:
Being that we are opposed to the undemocratic process used in making the decision and to the decision itself to build this plant in the City of Winnipeg by OlyWest, the City of Winnipeg and the Province of Manitoba.
Being
that
this plant will have a major impact on the quality of life of the residents in these areas and across the Province of Manitoba due to major environmental impacts and concerns.
We are resolved in our commitment to have the decision to build the OlyWest mega hog processing plant in this location reversed.
We will employ every legal means to oppose this undemocratic process at each and every stage.
We will not stop until the decision to go forward with this plan is reversed and the entire proposal is subjected to a thorough review of all implications of this proposal for all Manitobans.
